Supplies
• Computers, printers, and other technology/software
• Books and materials not covered by student scholarships or loans
• Tools, kits, or products to enhance learning (e.g., science kits, interactive computer programs)
Fees
• College application fees not covered by waivers
• Educational workshops or materials for student academics (e.g., SAT/ACT/GRE/MCAT preparation, college admissions, financial aid advising, college essay tutoring), career exploration, and life skills
• Travel expenses for conferences, camp fees
• Entry fees for math/science/debate/etc competitions
Experiences
• Career fairs or workshops for parents and students to learn about health-related careers
• Learning specialists or teachers for students needing academic remediation (e.g., English language skills, students having difficulty in an academic program)
• College campus tours for students to experience college life, interact with students on panels, and participate in experiential learning
• Field trips to technology, science, or health-related organizations to foster experiential learning
• Career or job-based learning programs (e.g., adult education, internships)
